MINDSET | A NEW WAY OF THINKING

What do you mean by mindset?
Have you ever gone through a circumstance, where you think that what actually you believe about yourself?
Your set of beliefs about yourself is known as Mindset.Your thinking pattern impacts how you make sense of the world as well as of yourself. It pretty much explains your personality and defines your standard. They can be of any type say it positive mindset or negative mindset. A true fact about mindsets are that, they develop through your past experiences and emotional milestones related to those experiences. The most common example of a mindset is seeing the glass as "half empty" or "half full".
Have you ever gone through a strong belief or decision making process where the things were not okay in the past and you suddenly made some sort of decision which resulted into a mindset for future. That's what mindset is. It's all in our mind.
But wait. Does everyone goes through same mindset? The answer resounding to this is "NO".
Its very important to know that your mindset greatly influence your success in life.
There are many types of mindsets which varies person to person. I will highlight some of them:-
1. Abundance Mindset or Scarcity Mindset
Now put both of them in a situation where they are scuba diving and one's tank starts malfunctioning. That person signals the need of oxygen and suddenly oxygen becomes a precious commodity for both of them. The scarcity of oxygen will make them both worried and they will be like what will happen if they don't get enough oxygen. This type of mindset is considered as Scarcity Mindset.
The sad mentality makes it very hard for such people who choose the negative path and just compete for available resources ignoring the fact that there may be abundance of them. They cannot share anything with anyone.
On the other hand, those with abundance mentality are not limited by the thinking pattern. They try to gain more and more opportunities to grow further.

2. Productive Mindset and Defensive Mindset
Some people think that if they are busy for the entire day, so they are productive. No, its not true.
Its about how you use your energies and what results you experience at the end of the day. For example, suppose you have to do a list of ten things in a day, but at the end of the day you can catch up with only four. You feel like you are working all the time but don't actually get too much.
Does this means that you are lazy or not willing to do? Or perhaps it has something or the other to do with your mindset.
A Productive Mindset allows you to use your resources, time and energy in something which is fruitful. It means making the most from what is available and also enjoying it. People with this type of mindset usually end up finding better solution and also enhancing their performance.
On the other hand, a Defensive Mindset is considered to be self-protected or self-defensive. This tends to a give up attitude. People with this type of mindset usually seeks out information which can be understood by them and with which they are comfortable. Whenever anything threatens them, they just shut it down. This leads to a false learning.
3. Growth Mindset and Fixed Mindset
Have you ever heard? "Changes are the law of Nature". "YES" they are. But its not necessary that everyone accepts the changes in their life or not.
Now this also has something to do with one's mindset.
A Growth Mindset allows you to accept all the changes and makes you eager to learn more and more. The path of success becomes more important than the result, because that's what makes you grow by learning each and everyday. This mindset allows you to believe that you can change, improve, flourish and become a better person in any field through a proper learning or training. Its a Dynamic View.
On the other hand, a Fixed Mindset makes you believe that either you are good at something or you aren't without even thinking that you can change the so called "Fact" or Destiny". People with this type of mindset don't want to bring any change in their life and hence lack to grow. Its a Static View.
These were the three pairs of mindsets and you can see that each pair has one positive and one negative mindset. Its totally up to you, that which way you want to follow. To have a strong self-esteem, you need a strong mindset, one that allows you to grow and evolve. Our mindset continues developing and becomes stronger the more we belief.
